Final Reflection

The past 14 weeks have been like a roller coaster ride. I started out nervous, thinking how would I cope this module. Then, half way through the module, I was scared that I wouldn’t make it to the end of semester and now I feel relieve for it to be over. But now when I think back, it was a great experience and worth all the sleepless nights. I have gained so much industrial knowledge that will definitely help me in my future endeavor. I do admit that my weakness is in digital works, especially animating. From this module, I managed to struggle through and also learned many ways of animating although the process was painstaking. This module really motivated and encouraged me to visit the library more often compared to other modules, which I think is a good practice for aspiring designers to not only get inspiration from online sources but also appreciate books and enlighten ourselves with knowledge that will definitely leave a greater impact than “google-ing”. Frankly speaking, the six long hours of lecture at the beginning of the semester really reduced my efficiency as compared to the recent lesser hours of lecture. Despite all of that, this module has completely changed my whole perspective on typography and the importance of type. I realized that in typography, the slightest change can make a world of a difference, as people nowadays do not appreciate and overlook how much work and details is put into simple typography around us.
